Every Sunday at 7pm in the new film/photo building at Hampshire College I show an installment of the Contemporary French Cinema series. Sadly, next Sunday is the last one, but it's going to be good! The film is a strange comedy by Gustave de Kervern and Benoît Delépine. I was introduced to these two by a cinema professor in Paris. He encouraged me to go see their newest film, "Louise-Michel." But he cautioned that it was "un peu trash." The same goes for their first film, "Aaltra."
