Hello again. Here's this info for the next party our group is putting on on January 10th. There's alot going on, so however you feel compelled to promote any of it works for us. We're really excited about this one because the Berksire Bateria samba group is going to be helping us with the event and giving a performance as well as workshops. Our capoeira group, Omulu Guanabara, is really excited about the Brazilian celebration we've put together for January 10. There's lots to choose from. Participation in any of the workshops includes admission to the demonstration and party that night.

Day begins at 1:00 pm with a Kids Capoeira Workshop with Instructor Marola. Introduction to this fun and beautiful game.
1:00-2:00 pm- $12

2:15-3:15 Kids Samba Workshop with Berkshire Bateria's Jim and Teri Weber. $12.

$20/child to do both workshops. If a parent would like to do the kids' workshops with their child, $30 total.

Adult Samba Music Workshop with Berkshire Bateria's Jim and Teri Weber. 3:30-5:45 (2 45-minute session with a 15 minute break in the middle.)
$20/Student

greenfield/turners community radio WMCB

since the spring WMCB-LP 107.9 FM has been legally operating...with a minimum of interest. time to get some folx involved! the station is a non-profit community volunteer-run low-power deal operating a shared frequency...that is, the station is on in the PM (noon-midnite) and another station is also operating in the AM (midnite to noon) on the same number. thus, 107.9 is two different stations.
our station (noon-midnite, got it???) broadcasts all over greenfield and turners falls and into deerfield, montague (heard it at the book mill), and perhaps into bernardston and gill (i haven't checked).
if anyone is interested in doing a show or helping out in any way, now is the time to get involved, as there is available airtime and other opportunities, such as fund-raising and tech help. please check the station's blog page at http://www.wmcbfm.blogspot.com/ you may find a schedule here...

the final(?) installment of the Flashlight party, "a booty shakin' robot breakin' outer spacin' mutant disco dance party", will blast loose on fri nite dec 12 for what seems to be the final time as one of the DJs moves over to barcelona....
