Two shows this weekend.
Friday May 14th @ the Brickhouse 24 3rd st. Turners Falls
EARLY SHOW STARTS AT SIX, GOES TIL NINE! FIVE DOLLARS suggested
BIG KIDS, FLAMING DRAGONS OF MIDDLE EARTH, ZEBU!, O.F.C., YAK SNOT
This is a "realitycore" event organized by Flaming Dragons lead singer Danny Cruz. He wants you all to come and join FDOME for a chorus of rockin' hellscreams! Big Kids and O.F.C. will tear up your eyes out like always. Zebu is going to school ex-pupils and Yak Snot will be welcomed into the fold. Community Center dungeon hellfirestock. ONCE YOU'VE BURST INTO FLAME GO TO RUMBA PSICODELICA AT THE PEOPLE'S PINT.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday May 15th @ Flywheel 43 Main st. Easthampton
SHOW AT EIGHT, SIX DOLLARS suggested
SNAPS 'N' CLAPS Insanely charming melodica and casio driven girl-group covers and originals from Andrea Love and Erin Schneider. This will be their last show for a good long while, if not ever...
HAPPY JAWBONE FAMILY BAND Wistful and sunny pop from Brattleboro, VT. Kind of like Maher Shalal Hash Baz meets the Beach Boys or some sort of other slightly out of tune beauty-sounds.
ZEBU! This Easthampton/Brooklyn duo have been meaning business more and more with each gig. Mammoth drum sound, garage riffs, noise breakdowns and total buffoonery.
BRYAN PHANTOM FAIRLANE Turners Falls songwriter of incredible craft and verbal dexterity. Modern takes on the Golden Age of Country mingle with ten minute dirges about robots. Woody Guthrie on psilocybin?
and you thought there was nothing to do?

Sweet Exorcist/Rumba Psicodélica!!! Friday Nite, FREE!!! 10pm People's Pint

The monthly Sweet Exorcist returns on Friday, May 14th at the People's Pint in downtown Greenfield. DJs Andujar, B-COMING and 12XU hold down this vinyl affair every month with guests. The May installment features DJs Bongohead and Mike P for a special Rumba Psicodélica night of South American, West African and Jamaican eclectic sounds ranging from cumbia to dub to psych to funk to salsa and beyond.
The night features selections from DJ Bongohead's new VampiSoul Records compilation The Afrosound of Colombia. Also hear the underground garage chichas excavated on recent trips to Perú by Mike Pigott of Mass Tropicas Records and the hard 70s African funk as played by Andujar on the WMUA Radio Clandestino program, as well as selections from resident DJ B-COMING. All from vinyl!
The event is FREE and all ages, and runs from 10 til 1. The People's Pint is located at 24 Federal St, Greenfield.

DAD CITY!!!
TONIGHT @ DAD CITY:
The Conformists (http://www.myspace.com/theconformists) - In 2000 they were nominated for the Riverfront Times' "best punk band" category. They were, however, not asked to play the showcase event for reasons undisclosed, so they in turn rented a generator and a flatbed truck and played on it while they drove up and down the Delmar Loop back and forth past the showcase. They are arguably one of the greatest bands of all time.
Passe Montagne (http://www.myspace.com/passemontagne) - On tour from France (!!!) with the Conformists. Awesome math rock.
Old Man Lee (half of http://www.myspace.com/ubezzebu) - Local wildman time-traveling both from the past and the future simultaneously.
Yak Snot (http://www.myspace.com/snotrainbow) - Insanely tight two-piece math rockers from space.
Outdates (http://www.myspace.com/outdates) - Their show at the Flywheel got canceled that night... so now they're playing this one! Woo hoo!
+ a secret band...
